Shlomit Yehudai-Reshef, MD/PhD, Medical Hematologist

Dr. Yehudai-Reshef is an avid believer in the synergism of collaboration between physicians and scientists and she is passionate about translational research.
Dr. Shlomit Yehudai-Reshef is currently leading the leukemia research laboratory together with Prof. Tsila Zuckerman. The laboratory focuses on acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and particularly on the regulation of the hematopoietic stem cell by its microenvironment, the bone marrow niche. Using a combination of genetics, imaging and functional assays, the laboratory has defined key components and abnormalities of the bone marrow niche and developed methods for altering niche interactions that have resulted in a pre-clinical experimental system using stem cells to model hematologic malignancies.
Dr. Yehudai-Reshefs' research is characterized by multidisciplinary approaches. Her broad set of expertise, skills and knowledge all contribute to innovative and creative research. Her work has been published in leading journals and presented in many international meetings. Dr. Yehudai-Reshef is involved in many patented inventions.
