"RNA in Cancer" Initiative- Kickoff Event
19 May 2026
11:00-14:00

The RTICC is launching a new inclusive RNA in cancer initiative.
We invite interested Principal Investigators who are working on the RNA–cancer connection, as well as those eager to explore this field, to join us.
About the initiative
The "RNA in Cancer" Initiative will bring together Technion researchers from all disciplines- biology, medicine, chemistry, engineering, and exact sciences - to foster a collaborative community dedicated to advancing RNA research in cancer. Headed by Prof. Motti Choder and Asst. Prof. Boris Slobodin (Rappaport Faculty of Medicine), and Asst. Prof. Ayala Shiber (Faculty of Biology), the initiative will initially operate as an internal Technion hub, with plans to expand the collaboration through a partnership with the “Giuliani RNA Center” at Brown University in Providence, RI.
The initiative will include periodic scientific meetings, seed grants for collaborative research, student exchange opportunities, and a planned symposium at Brown University.
