The MRS Impact Award recognizes outstanding achievements in advancing materials research to the benefit of society. Prof. Haick, from the Wolfson Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the Technion, was selected for his groundbreaking work in developing innovative sensing platforms for early disease detection, with a particular focus on cancer cancer and respiratory illnesses, through the non-invasive sensing of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted by the body. His technologies have contributed to significant advancements in non-invasive medical diagnostics worldwide.

This prestigious honor underscores Prof. Haick's leadership at the intersection of materials science, nanotechnology, and biomedical innovation — fields central to RTICC’s mission to accelerate cancer research and improve patient outcomes.
