New Call for Proposals: 3D Bioprinting for Cancer Research

Three research proposals will be selected, each receiving $20,000 in funding

The Rappaport Cancer Research Center (RTICC), in collaboration with MATRiC – the Applied Medical Technology Research Center at Rambam Health Care Campus – is pleased to announce a new Call for Proposals to fund seed projects that leverage 3D bioprinting technology to advance cancer biology, drug screening, and preclinical testing.

The funding will be used to produce a reproducible, biologically relevant preclinical model at MATRiC center. It is expected that this seed grant project will generate preliminary data for future competitive external grant funding.
Applications may include the development of models to investigate tumor-stroma interactions, immune cell infiltration, or therapeutic resistance.
As part of this initiative, three research proposals will be selected, each receiving $20,000 in funding for a period of one year. Projects will be developed in close collaboration with MATRiC’s expert team and infrastructure, and will be conducted at MATRiC by a dedicated young researcher from the proposing lab.
To help researchers learn more about MATRiC’s facilities and capabilities, a special webinar will be held on June 11, 2025.
