Ilana Doweck, MD, Professor, Senior Physician

Prof. Ilana Doweck, MD, is the Chair of The Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Carmel Medical Center, affiliated to The Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel, and served as President of The Israeli Society of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery between 2013 -2019.

Prof. Doweck academic focus is on head and neck cancer and oncology, including outcomes based research in head and neck with particular focus on outcome related to organ preservation and chemoradiotherapy, thyroid cancer, metastatic and recurrent, as well as translational research in head and neck cancer, including stem cells in solid tumor and in head and neck cancer, angiogenesis and expression of heparanase in head and neck cancer, Ubiquitin ligase KPC1 and tumor suppression- in head and neck cancer. Prof. Doweck received several awards for her research regarding tumor markers in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
