About
D. Dan & Betty Kahn Human Health Building

In July 2023, a transformative initiative took place at the RTICC. The Rappaport Foundation and the Kahn Family Foundation announced a groundbreaking initiative to promote human health and cancer research.
Within this effort, the Rappaport Foundation together with the Technion established a cancer research program to be performed at the RTICC laboratories. In parallel, the Kahn Family donated the sums required to build the D. Dan and Betty Kahn Human Health Building.
When completed, the Kahn building will be the beating heart of the RTICC. While RTICC researchers are currently located throughout the various Technion faculties, the new building will eventually become home to our new research groups. It will also be the home of discovery cores and facilities to advance research, including genomics, metabolomics, and imaging units, as well as state-of-the-art experimental platforms and technologies. Among the emerging platforms will be cores for targeted protein degradation (TDP), cancer chemistry (CC) and artificial intelligence (AI). An auditorium within the Kahn Human Health Building will offer a platform for the Center’s wide range of national and international conferences and outreach initiatives.

The Kahn building will be strategically situated aside the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine and the nearby Fishman Oncology Center on the Rambam Health Care Campus.
